Peter Reschenhofer is a data scientist and has been working at WIFO since 2012. He studied computer science at the University
of Applied Sciences Regensburg and economics at the University of Vienna. His main focus is on network analysis which he applies
in different economic domains (e.g., Product Space – trade data, Knowledge Domain – patent data) on the one hand, and on the
other hand the visualisation of big data. Due to his long experience as a web developer he focuses on interactive web visualisations.
As a programmer he uses various state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to solve tasks in the areas of entity matching,
classification and forecasting in the best possible way.
