Regionalwirtschaftliche Verflechtungen der Kfz-Produktion im Bezirk Steyr (Regional Economic Linkages of Motor Vehicle Production in the Steyr District)
Der Kfz-Bereich ist für den Bezirk Steyr und die angrenzenden Regionen von besonderer Bedeutung. Ebendiese Bedeutung für Standortraum
und Regionalwirtschaft soll durch das vorliegende Projekt dargestellt werden, wobei sowohl die direkten als auch die indirekten
Verflechtungen – also die regionalen Muster der Vorleistungsbeziehungen – betrachtet werden. Zusätzlich wird versucht, auch
die induzierten Effekte auf die Einkommen bzw. den privaten Konsum in die Analyse einzubeziehen. Damit soll abgeschätzt werden,
wie sich potentielle Änderungen in der Kfz-Produktion auf den regionalen Arbeitsmarkt auswirken könnten. Die Analyse soll
damit auch Grundlagen für mögliche zukünftige wirtschaftspolitische Überlegungen schaffen.

Regional Economic Linkages of Motor Vehicle Production in the Steyr District
The motor vehicle sector is of particular importance for the district of Steyr and the neighbouring regions. This project
aims to illustrate the importance of the motor vehicle sector for the region and the regional economy by examining both direct
and indirect linkages, i.e. the regional patterns of intermediate input relationships. In addition, the induced effects, i.e.
those on income and private consumption, will be included in the analysis. This is to estimate how potential changes in automotive
production could affect the regional labour market. The analysis is also intended to provide insight to serve as the basis
for economic policy.
