Die Unternehmen der Sachgütererzeugung rechnen 2017 mit einer deutlichen Steigerung ihrer Investitionen (nominell +11%). Dabei
erwarten sowohl große als auch kleine und mittlere Unternehmen zweistellige Zuwächse. Überdurchschnittlich sollen die Investitionen
der Hersteller von Investitionsgütern und Vorprodukten steigen. Hersteller von Konsumgütern sehen dagegen eine Kürzung vor.
Uneinheitlich sind die Investitionspläne in der Bauwirtschaft: Während Hochbauunternehmen einen Anstieg um 22% melden, planen
Tiefbauunternehmen eine Steigerung um nur 2%.

Survey
According to the results of WIFO's Autumn 2016 Investment Survey, investment in manufacturing (in current prices) will increase
by 11 percent in 2017. The largest rise is expected among producers of capital goods and intermediate goods whereas producers
of consumer goods foresee a decline. Firms in the construction sector plan to increase their investments by 14 percent in
2017. Here the investment plans differ markedly between the segments of the construction industry. Building companies plan
to increase their investments by 22 percent while civil engineering firms are scheduling an increase of 2 percent.
